I love Tretchikoff's work. I fleeting loved his grand daughter. I own some of his old vinyl LP's. And I teased his beloved dogs. He was a grumpy old shit and never acknowledged my presence. Yet there is something about his kitsch that I find intriguing. The man was born in Borat's country - doesn't that explain all? RIP.

The US government released David Hicks.
We ratified the Kyoto Protocol.
Japan & Co stopped killing whales.
There was hippie revival.
Mainstream religions focussed all their energy on spreading love.
